Love in White by Creed is a sophisticated amber/floral fragrance for women. Love in White was created by Olivier Creed and Erwin Creed. Launched in 2005, Love in White has since been loved by women worldwide. Inspired by Provence and its breathtaking tree-lined streets, Love in White by Creed is reminiscent of the glorious spring breeze and fresh flowers. House of Creed describes it as a ‘Floral, intimate and angelic’ scent.

What does Creed Love in White smell like?

This feminine and romantic fragrance for her uses some of the finest ingredients from across the globe, hand-selected by Olivier Creed. It is partly due to this unmatchable quality of Creed ingredients that Love in White smells fantastic.

It is not your ordinary bubbly young floral scent- but an exciting blend with unexpected twists- which also seems to feel different for everyone. Initially, the perfume smelled slightly strong, but it evolved into an elegant, well-rounded, romantic floral scent after a while.

You notice a bitter, bright citrus on the first spray. There’s a unique smokiness to the opening. And then it goes on- strange powder, rice, strange rose- it all is too unexpected but exciting. It finally settles on a beautiful, light pink rose with narcissus and a hint of jasmine. This scent has an overall coziness and softness that is just DIVINE. The dry down is a warm and creamy musk with touches of white flowers.

I admit this fragrance was not a love at first sniff for me. However, you must let the perfume warm to your skin to unveil the magic. The magnolia and jasmine are most noticeable, blending beautifully into the Tonkin Rice notes. Hence, I suggest you try the scent in person because the scent pyramid does not fully explain what is happening in this complex perfume.

What I like about Love In White?

I love the fact that Love in White is a luxurious and classy scent. And it is versatile and adaptable to different occasions and seasons.

I am a big aesthete, i.e., I love essential aesthetics. The Exquisite bottle design of Creed Love in White completely satisfies my inner aesthetic.

Creed Love in White has Good longevity and sillage, considering its light nature and composition. It has the right intensity, and its presence is easily detectable. So you don’t have to worry about your perfume being too overwhelming for the noses around you.

What I don’t like about Creed Love In White?

Like everyone else, I feel the expensive price point of Love in White is unjustified. It is, undoubtedly, a great fragrance; however, you can get a similar scent for an affordable price, so why vandalize your bank balance?

Another con of this perfume is that its performance varies greatly among individuals. It may not work on everybody’s skin. Skin chemistry does affect a perfume’s performance but not to such an extent. The scent even varies on paper vs skin. So make sure to try some on yourself before you purchase the perfume.

This perfume has an aggressive, sharp opening which can be bothersome. Nevertheless, it progresses into a beautiful, sophisticated fragrance, so wait until the magic happens.

Top Notes

The top notes of Love in White by Creed include Orange Zest from South Spain, Apples & Apricots.

These top notes give the perfume a fruity and zesty start. Tangy, Enough sweet and a little sour orange, Lush and sweet fragrant apricots. Green juicy apples. My God, you all are in for a fruity treat. But wait, this does not end here…

Middle Notes

French Riviera Narcissis, Florentine Iris, Jasmine, Guatemala Magnolia, Tonkin Rice & Bulgarian Rose make up the heart of this perfume. A long list of ingredients, but this is Creed, after all.

The rich, green, intoxicating Narcissis provides a strangely intense yet incredible floral character to the perfume. The evergreen florals- Jasmine and Rose, give up their femininity to the fragrance. Tonkin Rice is the shining star of the scent, being the most noticeable.

Base Notes

Madagascan Vanilla, Calabrian Ambergris, Indian Sandalwood, Musk & Cedarwood make up the base of this perfume.

Syrupy sweet Vanilla, warm Sandalwood, and the rest of the powdery, aromatic Woods give the perfume a subtly earthy profile without being too manly. The ambergris has a peculiar, sweet odor at once but then changes into an earthy and marine character. The base is, overall, designed to be very warm and comforting.

Longevity and Projection

Longevity refers to the amount of time a scent stays on your skin. Creed’s Love in White has a Good lasting power considering the perfume composition is light. The ongoing ability also depends upon the skin chemistry, with the scent lasting over 10 hours on some people.

Creed Love in White has moderate sillage/projection. If you are new to these terms, let me define them for you; Sillage of perfume is the trail of scent that your aroma leaves behind as it evaporates. Whereas Projection is about how far a fragrance radiates off your skin. The sillage and Projection are suitable to the scent since it has enormous ingredients blended into it. Others can smell you, but it won’t give them a headache. The sillage is moderate and slow but not overpowering, which is very important.

Packaging

Another of Love in White’s plus points is its minimalistic yet gorgeous packaging. The perfume comes in an opaque, porcelain white bottle with a lovely silver ribbon adorning its neck. The bottle is, of course, sculpted in the signature Creed silhouette and is loved by minimalists who love glamour but in a small amount.

The bottle and its feel fully complement the perfume and its character. Light, airy, fresh, and fancy. The velvety and rich packaging suits Love in White perfectly and symbolizes the ever-enchanting white florals in this sheer magic bottle.

When To Wear Your Creed Love in White EDP?

Owing to its magnolia-centered scent profile, Creed Love in White gives off light and cool vibes perfect for summertime! It is a high-quality daytime fragrance, but you can also carry it in the evenings. The combination of ingredients makes this perfume classy and timeless, making it an appropriate choice to wear on various occasions and anywhere. I think this scent would shine the most in the light, breezy seasons of spring/summer.

Creed’s Love in White has the potential to be a signature scent for those who have the budget for it. With the florals and rice being dominant, the perfume dry down is very light and not overwhelming. Instead, it is clean and elegant, suitable for office wear. This could even be a great date night fragrance! Ideal for when you want to stand out yet be subtle.

Parting Thoughts

This fresh and passionate fragrance has become an iconic choice for bold, assured, and elegant Creed women.

Love in White is one fragrance I want to wear daily and for every occasion since it fits in so effortlessly. It is comfortable, memorable, and makes me feel amazing. Despite its light nature, the fragrance gradually grows on you. This perfume is a safe choice when you want to smell nothing specific but vaguely expensive.

Love in White reminds me of an elegant bouquet of the first blooms of spring. It is light, sophisticated, crisp, and green. Creed has combined captivating qualities from across five continents, reflected in the Perfume. The symphony of soft, balmy florals and vibrant, sharp greens perfectly balanced into an ethereal fragrance would be complete with the rice note, but something about that twist brings the most out of the blend.

However, paying a lofty sum for 75ml of this product is a letdown for me. This composition is prevalent, and you can easily find a similar substantial perfume in the market at cheaper rates. So I don’t see the point of investing much money into this perfume. But if you don’t mind the expensive price point, I highly recommend you get this perfume after you have tested it.
